~ Peter Cottontail ~

Here comes Peter Cottontail hopping down his bunny trail, or could it be he's still looking for it so that he can deliver his cartful of Spring to the neighborhood. Easter is coming early this year and so is this darling 12" tall (not including ears) bunny who wants to find a home before that happy day. Peter was made from pale peach mohair with chocolate brown tipping on it's lustrous curls. He has rolls of pennies in his legs so that he can stand on his own once balanced and there is wire armature in his arms and doubled up pipe cleaners inside his ears so that he can be posed in various adorable positions. His paw pads and inner ears are of matching peach 100% wool felt that has been stippled with rosy peach and brown freckles for dimension and depth of color.

Peter has hardboard/locknut joints in his legs, but looser cotterpin jointing in his arms and head for ease of posing. I handcolored his peach floss nose and some areas on his muzzle, chest and forepaws which have been trimmed shorter to make them more expressive. He comes with a resin cart painted to resemble wood and filled with an assortment of springtime flowers and a lovely nest of eggs and I included a very special resin bird with a pick up his middle so he can be pulled out and placed in different spots of the nest as you choose.

Peter has super dark gray blue eyes that appear practically black and I gave him elaborate eyelids of leather cording with felt above for a slightly sleepier eyed look for this young fellow, since after all, he was caught a bit unprepared for such an early holiday. But I'm sure he'll find his bunny trail and deliver his precious cargo. This bunny has a synthetic plush cottontail and will come with a heart hang tag and a Certificate of Authenticity proving he's a “One&Only”Bear made by Michelle Lamb.
